Directions to Zion National Park
From Salt Lake City: Travel I-15 south, past Beaver.
Exit on Hwy 20. Follow US-89 to Mount Carmel Junction. Take U-9 to Zion's east
entrance.
From Arizona: Travel 89A through Fredonia, Arizona
and Kanab Utah. Follow US-89 to to Mount Carmel Junction. Take U-9 to the east
park entrance.
From Las Vegas: Travel I-15 north. Take exit 16 and
travel through Hurricane. Make a right on U-9 at the second traffic light in
LaVerkin. Continue on U-9 to the south entrance of the park. U-9 through Zion
National Park is always open and is also called the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway.

Southern Utah Travel and Roads
Interstate 15 runs north and south through Utah, connecting with Idaho and
Arizona. Interstate 80 across the northern part of Utah, connecting
with Wyoming and Nevada. Interstate 84 runs northwest
toward Idaho from Echo Jct. near Wyoming. US 6/US 191 runs through the eastern
and south-eastern sections of Utah. Interstate 70 runs west to Interstate 15
in central Utah. US 666 comes from Colorado and joins US 191.
Directions from Las Vegas to Zion
National Park - Travel on Interstate 15 north through Utah. Turn on Highway
9, just after leaving St. George. Follow Highway 9 through Hurricane, to LaVerkin.
Turn on Highway 9 in LaVerkin. You will pass through the small towns of Virgin
(and the Kolob Terrace Road),
then through Rockville. You will be entering the south entrance to the park.
This road, Highway 9 or the Zion-Mt.
Carmel Hwy, travels through the park to the east entrance and on to Mount
Carmel Junction, the junction of Highways 9 & 89. It will take about
3 hours to drive from the Las Vegas airport to the south entrance of Zion National
Park. 176 miles.
Directions from Salt Lake City - Travel south on Interstate 15, turning off
the interstate to Highway 20. Follow Highway 20 to Highway
89 toward Panguitch, then past the turn-off to Bryce
Canyon. Continue on Highway 89, past the turn-off to Cedar Mountain (Highway
14) and continue to Mount Carmel Junction. At the junction of Highways 9 & 89
(Mt. Carmel Jct.) turn east. Follow the road for 12 miles to the east entrance
of Zion National Park.
Transportation to Zion National Park
Car Rentals: Cars can be rented in Kanab, Cedar City, Saint George, Las Vegas
and most larger Utah cities. Mc Carren Airport in Las Vegas offers rental cars
that usually have good rates.

Greyhound Bus Lines
The greyhound bus runs throughout much of Utah with stops in Provo, Salt Lake
City, Ogden, Brigham, Logan, Verna,l Price, Beaver, Parowan, Cedar City, St.

Air Travel
The largest airport is located in Salt Lake City with smaller airports located
in St. George and Cedar City. Check with Skywest Airlines for flights from
Salt Lake City to Saint George and for flights from Los Angeles, California to
St. George. Scenic Airline flies into Bryce, Utah. Call 1.435.586.9465 for
more information. Saint George is 47 miles from the south entrance of Zion National
Park.
